Inspired by the remarkable true story, Father Stu delves into the life of Stuart Long – an amateur boxer with a rebellious spirit and a broken relationship with his family, including his father Bill. Played by Mel Gibson, Bill struggles to understand his son’s way of life. Following a series of unfortunate events, Stuart Long becomes involved in a tragic motorbike accident that shatters his dreams of becoming a pro boxer. However, in the dark moments, Stuart meets Carmen, played by Rosario Dawson, and discovers the love of his life. The road to recovering and self-discovery takes an inspiring turn as Stuart goes on to pursue priesthood despite his multiple sclerosis diagnosis – an ultimate test of faith that will push him to the extremes of the human spirit.
